This unique handmade necklace is made with the finest lustre round shaped brilliant white coin pearls with discs of Thai Hilltribe silver beads that have an etched symmetrical pattern and slightly fluted edge. The pearls are slightly graded in size to the back. It is finished with a toggle clasp. Both the pearls and the silver are personally sourced in Asia and after many years of pearl buying I know only to get the very best. A striking geometric design that is both classic and bold and suitable for the classiest of affairs.
Length 18 inches 46cm long. See matching earrings listed separately if you would like a set.
The unique silver beads are individually made by the Karen Hill Tribe in northern Thailand, in the famed Golden Triangle region of Thailand, Laos and Burma. Thai silver has been a way of life for the Hill Tribe people for several hundred years. The silver used in Thailand is 97.5-99% pure silver, whereas sterling silver jewellery is only 92.5% pure silver. The high silver content of Thai Silver makes it softer than sterling but the good news is that it also does not tarnish as easily as sterling silver as there is no copper alloy. Joyfully if it does become a little dull just take a regular silver cleaning cloth to it - a quick rub and its glorious again.
If you want to complete the set check my earrings out or message me to have some made especially for you.
It will come in a gift box so you are ready to gift it on or treasure for yourself. Am also very happy to add a gift card and mail directly to the recipient.
