Striking choker necklace strung on a handmade choker. This is another great necklace using beads from around the world; hand made glass beads made on a canal barge in the UK, filigree silver beads from India, hammered silver and charms from Thailand and malachite from central Africa. The twisted silver work I did myself.
Each of the glass beads is different in colour and shape, the bead artist having used various techniques to make them. They all have a variation on the 'eye design' to protect he wearer in green and shite. They have been thoroughly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for strength and durability and are made using Italian lamp work glass that has been specifically made for ornamental beadmaking.
Complete your outfit with this intriguing bracelet that could be a talking point for several hours. You could mention the individual glass beads, The Indian barrel beads with fine filigree work, the perfect leaf from Thailand hand fashioned by the Hill Tribe in Chaing Mai. And then if you run out of those you could talk about malachite and its close connection to nature.
It will come gift wrapped in a box to treasure forever or gift to someone special.
